Mary W. Sharp

Mary received her undergraduate degree in journalism/communications from the University of Kentucky. She also earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law where she ranked in the top 25% of her class. She was the recipient of the Paul A. Porter academic scholarship and a CALI Award for outstanding achievement in Constitutional Law II. She was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in October, 1997. She also completed additional study in crime, punishment and corrections at King’s College in London, England in 1996 and received post-graduate training in Human Resources at Bellarmine University in Louisville.
Mary began her law career in 1997 with a local law firm before becoming a felony prosecutor in 1998, serving as Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Jefferson County, Kentucky. In 2001, she joined Priddy, Cutler, Miller & Meade and later became a law partner representing labor unions in employment matters and litigation, as well as law enforcement officers in job-related matters and disciplinary actions. She assisted in labor legislation and worked with Kentucky Revised Statutes, KAR, state, federal and administrative law.
Today, Mary is an experienced attorney in private practice serving the Louisville and central Kentucky areas in general practice law, state employment issues, and law enforcement officer matters.
